10 Ways To Stop The Spending Habit
Hello and good day to you. Without wasting too much time, here are my top 10 tips on spending less money and saving more on a daily basis:

  1. Deliberately leave your purse at home or in the office when you pop out for lunch and you won't have any money to spend.
  2. Bring in leftovers from the previous days dinner for lunch.
  3. Own less belongings by decluttering, make do with the little you have knowing it's enough and know that you cannot replace the items that you've gotten rid of.
  4. Pay your children for doing chores so that indirectly you are saving money through them.
  5. If you hate the feel and smell of pennies/cents(as some people) do, throw them in a jar and take them to your bank to save them.
  6. Open as many cheap savings accounts and automate a weekly payment to go into the accounts and before you know it, you've accumulated some savings.
  7. Park your car a fair distance away from work, walk the rest of the way to the office, save money on fuel and get some exercise at the same time.

  9. Buy your own tea/coffee for the office rather than join the office tea/coffee club - you'll avoid feeding the excessive tea/coffee drinking habit(including wastage) of everyone else.
  10. Contribute only nominal amounts towards to the birthday card/gift collection in the office when it's a colleague special day - these add very quickly over time.
  11. Only attend 1 invite a month to the after-work drink up rather than attend every Friday.
