Best Financial Advice From A Drunk

This is a true story that personally experienced many moons ago.

I was a fresh faced employee within a team which was predominately male dominated.

I'd heard about this gentleman in the office who was so astute with finances, but he also had a drinking problem which affected his job.

Anyway, I carefully chose that moment to catch him where I could have a conversation with him and pick his brain about finances.

The VERDICT On Your Financial FUTURE

  1. Start young - just like world class professional sports personalities do. You'll often hear a professional athlete saying in interviews that they started whatever it is that they do at a very young age.
  2. Reinvest profits - don't be so eager to spend whatever amount of profit you are receiving's only the beginning and there's more to come. So, take a chill pill and enjoy the ride
  3. Learn how to save - seriously, cultivate the habit and once you've mastered it, you'll soon find that you are borderline OCDing on savings.

ForGET Weight Watchers, JOIN Wealth Watchers

As the year is fasting approaching an end, so will many of you be contemplating joining some sort of health and fitness programme or the other - in order to fulfil that new years' resolution.

I'm not very good with new years' resolution as I simply change whatever it is that I'm not happy about whenever I choose to do so.

Why? Because it takes any pressure off of me and it stops friends and family pestering me if and when I happen to put a foot wrong.

Anyway, in this post, I want to encourage you to always think about your I strongly believe that Health = Wealth.

Love Hate Adverts On Blogs - Best Kept Secret

Do you just hate those adverts on blogs? Or do you just love them? Or are you not bothered either way?

Why do bloggers use adverts on their blogs? Do adverts distract you from the essence of the post?

The truth of the matter is that adverts are a necessary evil for all bloggers serious about making a few serious coins from blogging.

I am no different from other bloggers and I'm also NOT afraid to talk about this best kept secret.

I have to add that adding an advert aka...html aka...banner as easy it looks - especially if you are not a dab hand at these things.

Being the authentic and original Deborah that I am, I will be talking about some of the adverts displayed on here - starting with giffgaff.

Get a free giffgaff Sim

As my blog is all about spending better, saving bigger and investing with bravery, I must support companies that I identify with in some shape or form.

Disclaimer - I may support others even if they don't currently align with the content of my blog - however, there are options in the future for this to happen.

Not only do I actually subscribe to giffgaff as my mobile and internet service provider.....I'd had a enough with the other service provider who was ripping me off that it was worth me paying them off to get out of my contract.

Last Minute Dot Com

Hello there, I am going to keep it very short in this post.

If you answer yes to one or more questions, then hang around for this post.

Did you forget to add one crucial name to your Christmas shopping gift list? Are you panicking about forgetting?

Here's the answer. Give a gift of love instead of material items. Why? It cost nothing to give the gift of love and affection, it doesn't need to be wrapped up in some fancy paper and you don't need to travel any distance to give it - it dwells in you.

Prototype Signature Money Literacy Roadmap For Kids

It is practically impossible to be a blogger  and not have some claim to being creative and a little mad at the same time.

It's amazing what we can all come up with on a day when our creative juices are flowing - and mine was overflowing when I got a lightbulb moment when I quickly scribbled down this idea on a piece of paper - but I could not longer remember was it was.

If you don't already know, my mission is to have money literacy embedded into the national education cirriculum system for school age kids.

As you know, Rome wasn't built in a day and we also know that little drops of water make a mighty ocean - so my big dream begins today.

Luckily enough, I'm blessed with 2 beautiful daughters who I've nicknamed Pride and Joy. They both helped me to brainstorm the acronym B.N.W.B.S.I - Bring Nice Wellies But Stay Indoors.
